Below is a predictive scene I did for Bodega Dreams. The assignment was to emulate the writing style of Ernesto Quinones while creatively predicting what would happen after the last chapter we read. This is my scene "Bodega's Web".

Below is my second English assignment which was to analyze lyrics that describe a rite of passage.

Like medals of hope

    The song "Honor" by Atreyu describes a rite of passage. The lyrics are from the point of view of a rebellion. The speakers are united in fighting for their beliefs. Their use of figurative language is to describes an opposing thought or power as negative. They also use it to say that they will fight and continue until they achieve a "better tomorrow". The lyric "Resolute, in a stance of defiance. Always teetering on the brink," talks about how fighting for beliefs is a risk. A later lyric goes on to prove that the risk is worth fighting for and that they've won their "war" saying "We'll wear our scars like medals of hope". This struggle is a rite of passage.
